Boss skills and counterplay
Great Old One encounters are limited avatars/Manifestations of four external predators expelled beyond the Veyr by the Progenitor’s final will and later bound more tightly by the Concordance. The Eight are Fallen champions returned under Vhalerion’s sacrificial curse. This chapter separates their encounter techniques from the ordinary profession trees and rare signature echoes.
The skill catalogue owns player nodes; the bible owns champion identities; encounters owns admission/settlement. Boss actions below have distinct GO-* or FA-* IDs. Learning an ordinary parent technique, wearing a card or owning a boss relic never teaches a full boss action.
Power and readability
Fallen world-boss variants are deliberately stronger than comparable player techniques. The owner’s 100→200 example is a hypothesis for roughly double a comparable uncontested direct hit during later tuning, not a tested ratio or a blanket multiplier on all ticks, hybrid parts and targets. Wider footprints, threatening patterns and bounded support can also increase raid pressure. The next numerical pass must assign damage/resource/timing values consistently; none is computed here.
Single-target attacks become area attacks only when the weapon/method can support it: an enormous hammer can transmit a ground cone, a longbow or rifle can pierce a narrow line, Breath release can form a declared Spirit shockwave, and a placed elemental spell can cover warned sectors. A precise watch-arrow Silence stays selected-target; a personal heal is not automatically an enemy-damaging aura. Related variant names preserve the source technique while distinguishing its boss contract.
Each stronger action pays through visible preparation, fixed placement, resource setup, finite support, exposed anatomy or recovery. Multi-hit actions remain direct attacks unless an explicit periodic effect is authored. The physical/magical route and elemental affinity stay separate. A hybrid must register each component once; a status attempt is not inferred from color or smoke. The creature’s model does not justify targeting through solid cover or steering player input.
Shared full-health/short-burst and overlapping-area safety still protect player recipients. Boss control attempts use the established resistance/recovery rules; phase-wide immunity never secretly vanishes when a skill needs an interrupt. An exposed support object or another authored response can supply counterplay where the body is immune. Status/skill failure feedback separates miss, immunity, resistance, interrupted preparation and invalid targets.
The kits are encounter design briefs, not finalized boss stats or a launch schedule. Each active entry requires final range/caps/costs/timing and phase registration before implementation. Each Fallen has five active variants and one passive identity rule; each Great Old One avatar has four core active skills, each with three form-specific deliveries, and one passive identity/body rule. The final entry in each kit is a disclosed passive identity/body rule, not another free attack. No tests, simulation or formula computation is claimed.
Great Old One three-form encounters
Forms A → B → C are successive phases of one breach-avatar encounter. They are not three separate gods, additional reward opportunities or the remote master's whole body. Each god keeps four core active abilities and one passive body/identity rule. Each core ability has an A, B and C delivery: twelve documented variants per god, with only the current form's four active variants available. The form changes the attack organ, reach pattern, preparation and positional counter while retaining the core route, eligible conditions and recipient protections.
Form A establishes the god's method; B changes the movement and attack geometry; C concentrates that method into ordered, bounded patterns. Progress boundaries must be disclosed before combat and announced by a visible breach fracture. Exact thresholds and transition timings await the numerical pass. Continue the same HP/progress record and earned damage through all phases. Existing player conditions, spent resources and encounter allowances persist. A transition provides no free full heal, hidden damaging burst, new loot identity or reset of finite regrowth, links, masks, anchors or support caps.
Cancel uncommitted casts and unreleased old-form fields with clear feedback before new-form attacks begin. Already resolved damage and applied conditions follow their existing lifetime; changing the boss mesh is not a hidden cleanse. Source-owned helpers and effects remain within one shared encounter cap. Each new variant has its own readable preparation before it can resolve. Changing shape alone grants no additional immunity: registered body eligibility and stronger boss lockdown/DoT protection remain explicit in all three phases. An immune body still offers its disclosed source-object or positioning counter.
The three-form art template shows each phase's full portrait above its matching ClassicSky, Ragnarok-inspired 2.5D game actor. A single styled GAME VIEW divider spans the lower row. All four use colossal bodies, district-scale framing and different ruined frontier environments; Vorthaal has the darkest palette. Action companion studies separately illustrate the four variants of a named phase, using the actual organs and counters below. The owner approved all four visual boards on 2026-10-05. Encounter behavior remains authored design, not computed balance or implemented transformations.
Fallen profession variants
The eight historical classes/genders are fixed: male Crusader, male Mystic Fighter, female Shadow Guard, female Longbow Guard, female Saint, male Archmage, female Weaponsmith and female Sharpshooter. Their inherited ordinary techniques follow only their selected lineage. Their boss kit can express curse-distorted mastery beyond that normal tree, but that exception must be explicit.
Caedric Halvane — Crusader
Armoured sword/shield pursuit and Holy suppression; the commander now attacks the line he once protected.
Body and resistance: Proposed bloodless returned body: no circulating vulnerable tissue or living toxin metabolism; fully immune to Gash/Rotsick/Blackrot for that reason. Kindled, eligible control and other registered effects use declared boss resistance/eligibility, not universal Undeath immunity. Final creature registration must retain these disclosed body properties.
FA-CAE-01 Oathbreaking Pursuit
Source: Pursuing Strike (CRUSADER_01). Kind: active. Route: Physical · weapon affinity. Footprint: Warned forward line, rather than a normal selected-target strike.
Drive an oathblade through the marked approach and strike legal targets in the line once per action.
Tell: Shield lowers; the blade points down a bright broken line. Counter: Leave the line or commit a learned guard before recipient selection; punish recovery at the flank. Commitment/limit: Longer committed travel/recovery than ordinary Pursuing Strike; no retarget through walls.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-CAE-02 Hollow Ember Vow
Source: Hallowed Pressure (CRUSADER_02) / Ember Vow (SHV03). Kind: active. Route: Physical · Holy + separately registered Magic · Holy. Footprint: Warned ring sectors around the shield.
Distort the learned Paladin Ember Vow into marked ring sectors. Its Physical and Magic components each have one declared payload and recipient accounting; Hallowed Pressure supplies the related Holy weapon motif, not an extra Magic hit.
Tell: Shield inscriptions go cold; unmarked gaps remain legible. Counter: Cross to a gap; interrupt only the declared channel interval or use finite protection. Commitment/limit: Channel commitment leaves his back exposed; no repeated invisible pulse.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-CAE-03 Broken Interruption
Source: Marked Interruption (CRUSADER_03) / Vowshield Slam (SHV02). Kind: active. Route: Physical · weapon affinity + separate Reeling attempt. Footprint: One selected enemy.
Strike a current cast target and attempt Reeling under ordinary immunity/resistance rules; never guaranteed chain control.
Tell: He turns the shield edge toward the chosen target. Counter: Break range/line of sight before selection or prevent/resist Reeling; after application, an eligible ally rouse can help. The bearer cannot self-cleanse Reeling. Commitment/limit: Miss/immune attempt consumes the action; a recovery interval follows.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-CAE-04 March Without Survivors
Source: Pursuing Strike (CRUSADER_01) / Forward Cover (CRUSADER_05). Kind: active. Route: Physical · weapon affinity. Footprint: Sequential warned lanes.
Walk through a fixed sequence of sword lanes, turning his old evacuation route into offensive pressure.
Tell: Footsteps and ground marks announce each lane separately. Counter: Use the gaps rather than race the entire sequence; attack after the final planted step. Commitment/limit: No instant target-following lane or duplicate damage from one overlapping slice.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-CAE-05 Burden of the Betrayed
Source: Stand Between (SHV05). Kind: active. Route: Support · finite damage-sharing link. Footprint: A bounded declared group of nearby encounter allies linked to Caedric.
Extend the learned Stand Between method to a bounded group: an authored portion of eligible incoming loss redirects from each linked ally to Caedric. Each recipient applies its own mitigation once to its own portion; no full loss is copied and no invulnerability, absorb pool or control-resistance ward is added.
Tell: A broken command seal visibly links his shield to the actual protected recipients. Counter: Pressure Caedric through legal redirected loss, attack an unlinked target, break the declared exposed seal object or wait for link expiry. Commitment/limit: The link has a recipient cap, fixed expiry and opportunity cost; redirected damage cannot reflect or recursively create another sharing link.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-CAE-06 Oathbound Return
Source: Concordance soul-anchor curse. Kind: passive. Route: Passive · encounter identity. Footprint: Original catalyst anchor.
Defeat disperses this occurrence. The curse can return a later body, with one reward settlement per registered occurrence.
Tell: Inspect names the curse and disclosed body immunities. Counter: Win the present encounter and recover records; ordinary dispel cannot erase historical debt. Commitment/limit: No in-fight auto-resurrection, new reward roll or stronger stack per defeat.
Brakkus — Mystic Fighter
Bodily guard, Breath accumulation and deliberate Spirit release; broken discipline erupts instead of an arena shield counter.
FA-BRA-01 Breathless Fist
Source: Spirited Palm (MYSTIC_FIGHTER_01). Kind: active. Route: Physical · Spirit. Footprint: One selected close target.
Deliver a heavy knuckle strike after visible Breath commitment; ordinary finisher restrictions remain separate.
Tell: Wraps tighten and his chest briefly goes still. Counter: Leave reach, use a guard or punish the missed committed blow. Commitment/limit: A full committed attack costs Breath; no free chained finisher.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-BRA-02 Ruptured Breath Release
Source: Measured Release (MYSTIC_FIGHTER_02) / Breath Cannon (BRD06). Kind: active. Route: Physical · Spirit + separately eligible Reeling attempt. Footprint: Warned expanding ring sectors.
Spend stored Breath on a boss-only widening of Measured Release and Breath Cannon into marked shock sectors. The trained force remains Physical with explicitly chosen Spirit affinity; its independent Reeling attempt obeys the shared control limits. It is not Magic or the exceptional all-SP finisher.
Tell: Cold seams radiate from his planted feet before release. Counter: Move into gaps or interrupt the explicitly interruptible charging stage. Commitment/limit: Charges are spent on release and must be rebuilt; no Physical copy of the same impact.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-BRA-03 Unbroken Breath Reversal
Source: Stone Breath (VOR07). Kind: active. Route: Physical · weapon affinity. Footprint: Short forward cone after a successful guard.
A guarded eligible hit arms one warned cone counter. Passive resistance alone does not arm it.
Tell: Both gauntlets close; then one counter lane lights. Counter: Bait the stance, deny the counter lane, or stop the later commitment. Commitment/limit: One guard opening, one return; multiple attackers do not stockpile infinite counters.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-BRA-04 Shattered Combination
Source: Rising Chain (VOR03) / Cloister Chain (BRD03). Kind: active. Route: Physical · weapon affinity. Footprint: Three separately announced close impacts.
Link close strikes while following legal path/range; each step can fail independently and does not lock every nearby player.
Tell: Shoulder, hip and hand motion show the next committed angle. Counter: Break spacing between links; evade the next footprint instead of assuming one hit forces all. Commitment/limit: Breaking the named combo window ends later links; no endless action chain.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-BRA-05 Empty Lung
Source: Stone Breath (VOR07) / Rooted Stance (BRD04). Kind: active. Route: Support · finite personal guard. Footprint: Self.
Trade an attack window for one finite guarded breathing interval. This is not automatic life restoration or universal immunity.
Tell: An audible inhalation and stationary braced posture. Counter: Apply eligible pressure outside the guard scope or deny recovery through the declared interrupt. Commitment/limit: SP/Breath opportunity cost; guard expires and cannot refresh itself from its own effects.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-BRA-06 Debt Without Breath
Source: Concordance soul-anchor curse. Kind: passive. Route: Passive · encounter identity. Footprint: Original catalyst anchor.
Centuries-dead body still acts through the soul-anchor curse, not a living fighter surviving on infinite lungs.
Tell: Inspect exposes bloodless/metabolism immunity and return identity. Counter: Use legal direct damage, eligible other conditions and encounter recovery windows. Commitment/limit: Dispersal settles one occurrence; no new roll for a revived construct/copy.
Shio — Shadow Guard
Smoke, cord routes and extraction reversed into hunting the people she once escorted.
FA-SHI-01 Severed Escape Line
Source: Escape Line (SHADOW_GUARD_01) / Wire Snare (NTR03). Kind: active. Route: Physical · weapon affinity + separate Rootbound. Footprint: Warned corridor crossing several recipients.
Pull a cord through a marked escape corridor, dealing direct damage and attempting Root on eligible bodies.
Tell: Cord glints between visible anchor points. Counter: Leave the corridor or disrupt its authored anchor before tightening; Rootbound cure/Resolve remain legal. Commitment/limit: The cord cannot secretly pass through walls; one application per selected recipient.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-SHI-02 Mourning Cover Smoke
Source: Covering Smoke (SHADOW_GUARD_02). Kind: active. Route: Support field + separately resisted Dimsight attempt. Footprint: Visible fixed smoke patch.
Place a fixed smoke patch that attempts Dimsight on eligible entry, matching Covering Smoke. It does not automatically grant Shio Veiled or hide essential feedback.
Tell: Smoke source lands before the patch expands. Counter: Leave the patch, prevent/resist Dimsight or remove it with a listed cure; use admitted detection for separately authored concealment. Commitment/limit: Finite owned patch, no global blindness or hidden permanent field.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-SHI-03 Unsafe Passage
Source: Safe Passage (NTR08) / Guarding Thread (SHADOW_GUARD_03). Kind: active. Route: Physical · weapon affinity. Footprint: Warned sweep along a prepared retreat route.
Turn a mapped retreat into a cutting approach; targets have time to step out before each slice.
Tell: A false safe-route ribbon snaps toward a visible destination. Counter: Deny the destination lane or move aside; movement follows registered traversable geometry. Commitment/limit: Ends at the declared endpoint; no unrestricted teleport through terrain.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-SHI-04 Unseen Shelter Broken
Source: Cord Shelter (SHADOW_GUARD_05). Kind: active. Route: Support · finite ranged-Physical reduction. Footprint: Limited encounter allies.
A visible cord extends the learned Cord Shelter ranged-Physical reduction to a bounded group of encounter allies. This explicit boss-only group variant is finite reduction, not an absorb pool, universal guard or teleport.
Tell: Visible cords identify recipients and the source. Counter: Break the declared cord object or wait; choose uncovered targets. Commitment/limit: A declared recipient cap and expiry are required; it replaces an attack window and never silently becomes universal mitigation.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-SHI-05 Venom in the Exit
Source: Historical exceptional escape-cover venom: card/boss-only echo; no native Assassin node granted to Shadow Guard. Kind: active. Route: Physical weapon damage · Poison affinity; separate Blackrot. Footprint: Selected weapon hits during a visible short enchant.
Invoke her exceptional boss venom window. The direct attack and Blackrot susceptibility remain separate.
Tell: Antidote case opens as dark venom follows the blade. Counter: Dispel where the window allows, space/guard, cure Blackrot on an eligible body. Commitment/limit: Finite enchant/action commitment; never grants all Shadow Guard players the card/boss version.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-SHI-06 The Route That Returns
Source: Concordance soul-anchor curse. Kind: passive. Route: Passive · encounter identity. Footprint: Original catalyst anchor.
Copies/decoys preserve an attack pattern but are not independent bosses or reward sources.
Tell: Inspect distinguishes source body from its declared decoys. Counter: Read cord origins and punish source recovery. Commitment/limit: Defeating a decoy never grants a signature roll or regenerates a new encounter occurrence.
Seliane — Longbow Guard
Prepared bow lanes and warning arrows warped into a watch that destroys approaching life.
FA-SEL-01 Shattered Braced Shot
Source: Braced Shot (LONGBOW_GUARD_01). Kind: active. Route: Physical · weapon affinity. Footprint: Warned piercing line.
Release a longbow shot through a declared narrow lane instead of the ordinary selected-target action.
Tell: Drawn bow holds; the lane appears before release. Counter: Leave the lane, obstruct declared line of sight or use an eligible guard. Commitment/limit: Long draw and planted stance expose her flank; one action cannot hit the same player twice along the line.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-SEL-02 Veiled Watch Interval
Source: Quiet Watch (LONGBOW_GUARD_05). Kind: active. Route: Physical · weapon affinity + separate Muted attempt. Footprint: One selected ranged target.
Damage one visible target and attempt Muted with explicit resistance/removal; the arrow itself does not prove silence.
Tell: A pale fletching and target tell distinguish this from her line shot. Counter: Deny the shot, prevent/resist Muted or cure it after application; no chain silence. Commitment/limit: A rejected status does not retarget or substitute another condition.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-SEL-03 Desolate Guarded Lane
Source: Guarded Lane (LONGBOW_GUARD_02). Kind: active. Route: Physical · weapon affinity. Footprint: Fixed warned lane with discrete arrows.
Hold a chosen approach with spaced direct volleys. This is repeated direct damage, not a generic DoT status.
Tell: Ground fletching marks persist while each volley is announced. Counter: Cross during the visible firing gap or flank the lane; do not stand in every marked volley. Commitment/limit: Lane remains fixed during commitment; attack count/expiry must be bounded.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-SEL-04 Retreat That Never Opens
Source: Covered Retreat (LONGBOW_GUARD_03) / Braced Shot (LONGBOW_GUARD_01). Kind: active. Route: Physical · weapon affinity. Footprint: Backward retreat and warned fan.
Combine the learned Covered Retreat support method with a boss-only backward movement and Braced Shot fan. Movement, recipient choice and damage are explicitly new encounter payloads; the ordinary Covered Retreat ward does not shoot or move an ally.
Tell: Her trailing hem draws an arrow-shaped ground cue. Counter: Approach outside the fan or pressure the destination once the retreat ends. Commitment/limit: No backwards fire through walls; movement and shots consume one authored sequence.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-SEL-05 Watch Without Dawn
Source: Braced Guard (WARDEN_03) / Watch Discipline (WARDEN_04). Kind: active. Route: Support · finite ranged guard/detection. Footprint: Self and explicitly marked nearby encounter allies.
Watch one declared region and protect against scoped ranged Physical pressure while stationary.
Tell: Survey arrows and watchposts light inside the limited region. Counter: Use uncovered angles/eligible Magic or melee; destroy a declared support object if authored. Commitment/limit: Not universal Tank resistance, unavoidable full-map detection or gear-independent blocking.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-SEL-06 The Warning Stolen
Source: Concordance soul-anchor curse. Kind: passive. Route: Passive · encounter identity. Footprint: Original catalyst anchor.
She did not author the rite; her unfinished warning repeats as an out-of-control watch.
Tell: Inspect/lore identify the imperial signal and bloodless body. Counter: Recover evidence from the outpost without requiring this kill. Commitment/limit: No player journal exposure penalty or silence immunity inferred only from her title.
Kindrava — Saint
Curse-distorted restoration, cleansing and Holy protection serve declared encounter allies while living intruders remain threatened. Her sacred gear emits oily black-violet corruption with dim readable edges; its colour does not change the listed damage routes or recipient rules.
FA-KIN-01 Cold Hearthblaze
Source: Hearthblaze (KND02). Kind: active. Route: Support · heal. Footprint: One eligible registered encounter ally.
Distort the learned Hearthblaze group heal into a committed heal of one declared hostile ally. Only registered living encounter bodies are eligible; story corpses are not recipients.
Tell: The fractured reliquary draws a bounded black-violet thread along a visible recipient link. Counter: Interrupt the declared cast or pressure the marked recipient outside its care interval. Commitment/limit: Finite SP/cast commitment; no infinite overheal or arbitrary full-health reset.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-KIN-02 Hearthblaze Inverted
Source: Hearthblaze (KND02) / Vigil Pyre (KND03). Kind: active. Route: Magic · Holy + separate support healing. Footprint: Warned fixed area.
Combine a clearly separate Vigil Pyre Holy damage component with Hearthblaze healing for declared encounter allies. One warned placement selects hostile living enemies for damage and registered allies for healing. This boss-only combination does not add enemy damage to ordinary player heals.
Tell: The blackened crozier marks a visible broken hearth ring before black-violet corruption turns outward. Counter: Leave the ring or interrupt the preparation; use ordinary wards if remaining. Commitment/limit: Related to Hearthblaze and Vigil Pyre but an explicit boss-only inversion, not automatic AoE damage on a player heal.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-KIN-03 Shelter of the Unburied
Source: Emberveil (EMB02). Kind: active. Route: Support · finite absorb. Footprint: Selected encounter allies.
Place one finite protection pool on authored recipients, including herself when eligible.
Tell: Fractured lily-shaped ward outlines mark protected bodies with dim violet edges. Counter: Change focus, exhaust the pool or dispel a listed removable ward. Commitment/limit: Strongest same-family ward; not a free full refresh every heal or a permanent Cold Hearth reduction.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-KIN-04 Dawnfire Without Mercy
Source: Dawnfire Rebirth (KND05). Kind: active. Route: Support · bounded encounter revival. Footprint: One previously registered add.
Raise one eligible defeated add within the same encounter settlement identity, with a finite revival allowance.
Tell: A single dark reliquary thread with a dim violet edge marks the selected defeated add. Counter: Interrupt the revival or resolve the encounter before its declared cast. Commitment/limit: No resurrection of champions, players or permanent NPC deaths; revived adds never create extra rare rolls.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-KIN-05 Unanswered Ember Purge
Source: Ember Purge (EMB06). Kind: active. Route: Magic · Holy. Footprint: One ranged target or separately warned compact footprint.
Use the explicit selected-target bolt; any AoE variant is a separately registered cast, not a free splash on every bolt.
Tell: The fractured crozier crystal points toward the selected direction before a bounded black-violet release. Counter: Deny range/line of sight, pressure preparation or guard the declared route. Commitment/limit: Keeps the healer’s personal offence recognizable without making every aid action a burst attack.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-KIN-06 A Hearth Owed to None
Source: Concordance soul-anchor curse. Kind: passive. Route: Passive · encounter identity. Footprint: Original catalyst anchor.
Her cruel care is imposed by the soul-anchor curse, not a secret allegiance to Ulgath or failed consent to murder.
Tell: Inspect distinguishes curse, immunity and removable temporary buffs. Counter: Win local respite; ordinary cleanse cannot pay the global historical debt. Commitment/limit: No passive immortality, auto-revival every defeat or reward multiplication.
Oriel Thane — Archmage
Placed elemental and Holy spellwork, readable preparation and a curse-distorted spoken revelation; dangerous knowledge never secretly punishes reading.
FA-ORI-01 Unclosed Echo Storm
Source: Echo Storm (VYC05). Kind: active. Route: Magic · Holy. Footprint: Warned fixed storm sectors.
Place a stronger version of the learned Echo Storm in fixed Holy storm sectors with one declared pulse schedule. No implicit lightning stun or Arcshock is added by presentation.
Tell: Separate storm sectors brighten in their upcoming order. Counter: Move through announced gaps or interrupt the declared preparation; resist Holy independently of a condition. Commitment/limit: Channel/recovery opportunity; overlapping sectors from one pulse share authored recipient accounting.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-ORI-02 Drowned Moving Current
Source: Chain Spark (LUC05) / Deepfrost (LUC09). Kind: active. Route: Magic · Wind or Water selected before the tell + separately eligible displacement. Footprint: Warned moving line.
A boss-only moving footprint extends inherited Chain Spark/Deepfrost spellwork. The selected affinity is revealed before release and stays fixed; Water does not automatically freeze and the separately admitted push remains bounded.
Tell: A cold stream outline names travel direction. Counter: Cross behind the front, use displacement prevention or deny the channel if interruptible. Commitment/limit: Not forced steering of player input or a full arena teleport; endpoint/expiry bounded.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-ORI-03 The Pattern That Read Back
Source: Starbreak (VYC02) / Rimefall (LUC02) / Thunderspire (LUC03). Kind: active. Route: Magic · declared weapon-derived, Water or Wind affinity. Footprint: Multiple marked compact fields.
Choose one learned Starbreak, Rimefall or Thunderspire spell pattern before warning. Retain that pattern’s affinity and named condition eligibility, if any; do not retarget after warning or invent a new condition from its color.
Tell: Readable affinity and each footprint are shown before cast completion. Counter: Leave the footprints or respond to the shown affinity; no color-only signal. Commitment/limit: Damage and periodic/condition choice registered separately; not mastery of every element.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-ORI-04 The Page That Speaks
Source: Frost Lance (LUM02) / Gale Lance (LUM03). Kind: active. Route: Magic · declared Water/Wind + separately registered temporary exposure. Footprint: One target.
Commit a warned phrase alongside one inherited Frost Lance/Gale Lance selected-target spell. Only a successful independently admitted phrase adds visible encounter exposure to its recipient. Lesser upward exposure attempts Addled; greater exposure additionally attempts Mindscorch once per originating committed action, as chapter11 defines. Merely reading records adds nothing.
Tell: A torn page names the bolt’s affinity; a spoken phrase, visible target link and exposure indicator distinguish the separate exposure component. Counter: Interrupt the phrase, break its declared range/line of sight or destroy its visible channel support. Exposure recedes without a new admitted application and clears on death/encounter end. Cure applied Addled/Mindscorch separately using their listed removers. Commitment/limit: The phrase and bolt each require explicit admission; a blocked phrase cannot add exposure through cosmetic pulses. Thresholds and recovery intervals remain untuned inputs; no irreversible character loss.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-ORI-05 Unclosed Channel Ward
Source: Mana Ward (VYC06) / Starward Focus (LUC08). Kind: active. Route: Support · finite personal protection. Footprint: Self.
Maintain the inherited Mana Ward with its distinct ongoing SP drain and damage-to-SP diversion, alongside the scoped casting steadiness of Starward Focus. The boss registry must supply a finite ward resource even though ordinary monsters have no player SP pool; exhaustion ends the ward. It is not a free absorb barrier or universal control immunity.
Tell: Page fragments align into one obvious ward outline. Counter: Exhaust/dispel the declared pool or pressure with a legal alternative action. Commitment/limit: No universal reflection, control immunity or self-renewing infinite channel.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-ORI-06 The Reader’s Unpaid Page
Source: Concordance soul-anchor curse. Kind: passive. Route: Passive · encounter identity. Footprint: Original catalyst anchor.
Storm remnants show the empire’s convergence timing, not proof he knowingly designed the sacrifice.
Tell: Inspect separates real encounter exposure from safe journal records. Counter: Break authored exposure/seek its listed temporary recovery; lore reading itself stays safe. Commitment/limit: No irreversible player Madness, automatic second spellbook or endless knowledge damage.
Hedda Ironvow — Weaponsmith
Enormous hand-carried hammer, material fault-reading and temporary equipment treatment corrupted into ruin.
FA-HED-01 Ruinous Resonance Hammer
Source: Resonance Hammer (RSW02) / Breach Hammer (BEL07). Kind: active. Route: Physical · weapon affinity. Footprint: Warned forward cone.
A huge hammer impact spreads through a plausible ground cone, unlike the ordinary selected hammer blow.
Tell: Two-handed lift exposes the shoulder; cracks mark the impact cone. Counter: Leave the cone, use an eligible guard or punish the full follow-through. Commitment/limit: A real hammer commitment with long recovery; no tiny one-hand swing granting an invisible arena wipe.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-HED-02 Broken Forge Pressure
Source: Forge Pressure (BEL03). Kind: active. Route: Physical · weapon affinity. Footprint: One selected close target.
Bring concentrated hammer pressure onto one admitted recipient; ground dust does not add unlisted splash.
Tell: Hammer face settles toward the selected enemy. Counter: Deny reach or brace, then pressure her recovery side. Commitment/limit: No guaranteed critical/exceptional finisher simply from giant weapon size.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-HED-03 Faultfinder’s Ruin
Source: Breach Hammer (BEL07) / Resonance Hammer (RSW02). Kind: active. Route: Physical · weapon affinity + separate weapon disruption. Footprint: One selected opponent with declared eligible kit.
Attempt only the declared weapon-slot disruption after legal hit eligibility.
Tell: Maker’s gauge flashes against the hammer head before the chosen strike. Counter: Use weapon coating, space the swing, repair PvE break or await competitive slot recovery. Commitment/limit: No all-slot strip, inventory deletion or imaginary monster equipment; attempt obeys authored duration/resistance.
Adaptation boundary: Boss-only fault-reading and weapon-break attempt, related to trained hammer contact and her exceptional signature. Neither a passive mastery nor ordinary Resonance Hammer grants automatic break.
FA-HED-04 Shattered Tempered Arms
Source: Ember Edge (BEL09) / Temper Edge (BEL02) / Tempered Arms (BEL10). Kind: active. Route: Support · finite Fire weapon endow + separately declared weapon-only protection. Footprint: Limited encounter allies.
A boss-only group extension of Ember Edge gives declared allies’ eligible weapon-derived attacks Fire affinity for a finite interval; fixed-element actions keep their own element. A separately registered curse-tempering coating protects only named weapons against Broken/Stripped for that interval. Ordinary Temper Edge removes own size penalties and Tempered Arms is passive mastery; neither normally grants this coating or group endow.
Tell: Cold forge sparks link her hammer to each treated tool. Counter: Interrupt the preparation, attack an untreated recipient, remove the specifically removable endow/coating or wait for finite expiry. Weapon protection does not protect armour, HP or every status. Commitment/limit: Recipient cap, separate component lifetimes/removal and no permanent affinity or automatic coating renewal.
Adaptation boundary: The Fire endow cites the actual learned method. Extending it to allies and adding weapon-only curse protection are explicit encounter exceptions, not new ordinary-player grants.
FA-HED-05 Last Fitting Collapse
Source: Field Repair (BEL06) / Anvil Quake (RSW04). Kind: active. Route: Physical · weapon affinity. Footprint: Warned compact ground impact and removable support fitting.
A boss-only reversal of Field Repair joins Anvil Quake: Hedda works a visible damaged forge fitting, then collapses its marked area with a physical hammer shock. Repair itself does not normally damage enemies, mint gear or guarantee Broken.
Tell: She fits the hammer to one cracked anchor before the ground warning. Counter: Destroy/disrupt the fitting during the declared interval, or leave its impact footprint. Commitment/limit: Only a bounded number of fittings; no player craft instantly damaging a whole map.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-HED-06 The Tool Turned Against Her
Source: Concordance soul-anchor curse. Kind: passive. Route: Passive · encounter identity. Footprint: Original catalyst anchor.
The empire hid the relay’s sacrificial function; Hedda’s repairs and armaments did not constitute ritual consent.
Tell: Inspect names the forged relay and returned body’s declared immunities. Counter: Read preserved maker evidence; punish her large strike recovery. Commitment/limit: No passive durability destruction merely by standing nearby and no cart dependency.
Kagemori Ren — Sharpshooter
Rifle aim, patient sight and deliberate reload corrupted into a watch that destroys every possible horizon.
FA-REN-01 Unfinished Committed Shot
Source: Selected Aim (SHARPSHOOTER_01) / Committed Shot (SHARPSHOOTER_02). Kind: active. Route: Physical · weapon affinity. Footprint: One visibly selected ranged target.
Consume one visible Selected Aim opening for a stronger Committed Shot against a legal target. This is ordinary direct Physical pressure with declared affinity; it is not Fixed damage, automatic critical, silent execute or pure damage.
Tell: Scope reflection/ground line names the chosen target and commitment. Counter: Deny line of sight, move before selection or guard the admitted hit. Commitment/limit: A long aim/reload opportunity replaces free mobility; missing consumes the shot.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-REN-02 Broken Horizon Shot
Source: Sighted Round (RIFLEMAN_01) / Committed Shot (SHARPSHOOTER_02). Kind: active. Route: Physical · weapon affinity. Footprint: Warned piercing line.
A boss-only penetrating shot hits a narrow line of recipients. It does not turn every ordinary rifle action into splash.
Tell: The barrel holds a fixed horizon line before discharge. Counter: Leave the line or use solid declared cover; punish reload. Commitment/limit: Single action/recipient accounting, ammunition commitment and no wall bypass.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-REN-03 Cartridge Storm Without Dawn
Source: Sighted Round (RIFLEMAN_01) / Deliberate Reload (RIFLEMAN_06). Kind: active. Route: Physical · weapon affinity. Footprint: Finite sequence of marked narrow lanes.
Fire a limited sequence of long-range shots at announced lanes; each is a direct action, not generic DoT.
Tell: Spent cartridges and distinct sight cues count upcoming commitments. Counter: Move during lane changes and attack through the reload gap. Commitment/limit: No continuous unlimited spray, per-hit card chains or body-independent poison.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-REN-04 Hollow Escape Cover
Source: Sight Recovery (SHARPSHOOTER_03) / Sighted Round (RIFLEMAN_01). Kind: active. Route: Physical · weapon affinity + movement. Footprint: Warned covering lane plus valid retreat endpoint.
Step to declared cover and fire along one lane while exposing the new position.
Tell: A sight line and visible footpath announce the retreat. Counter: Deny the new line or flank its endpoint; no teleport through impassable terrain. Commitment/limit: Movement and shot form an authored sequence with recovery, not immunity during travel.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-REN-05 Patient Watch of the Dead
Source: Selected Aim (SHARPSHOOTER_01) / Patient Cover (SHARPSHOOTER_05). Kind: active. Route: Support · finite prepared opening. Footprint: Self.
Build one visible aimed opening while stationary; a qualifying manual shot consumes it.
Tell: Scope and shoulders visibly settle; the preparation is disclosed. Counter: Pressure movement, break sight or interrupt the declared preparation. Commitment/limit: Cannot store infinite shots; discarded on invalidating movement/expiry as explicitly authored.
Adaptation boundary: Boss variant retains the cited training method; only the separately described footprint/payload is extended. It is not an ordinary-player grant.
FA-REN-06 A Sight That Cannot Close
Source: Concordance soul-anchor curse. Kind: passive. Route: Passive · encounter identity. Footprint: Original catalyst anchor.
The female rifle champion returns under the debt; her old samurai sheet is a historical superseded image, not proof of this new kit.
Tell: Inspect/lore separates her new identity from archived pose references. Counter: Fight the disclosed rifle pattern; recover her final signal through safe records. Commitment/limit: No perfect-dodge bypass unless the current action independently qualifies as a critical, no free unavoidable sniper death.
Vorthaal — Stillness and oblivion · North
One northern avatar changes from a hollow humanoid into a stalking beast and then a suspended void-crown. Stillness and oblivion remain its conceptual method in all three forms; eyes and tentacles are not required attack organs.
Body and resistance: Proposed nonmetabolic conceptual avatar lacks vulnerable circulation and toxin metabolism: Gash/Rotsick/Blackrot immune for those specific reasons. Hard-control, displacement, other periodic loss and interruptible organ/support susceptibility require a disclosed phase profile; theme alone grants no universal immunity.
Three encounter forms
Form A — Hollow Sovereign. Tall lean humanoid, open chest, reaching hands and long reverse-bent legs. Establishes fixed bands, directional waves and the vulnerable chest source.
Form B — Arrested Hunter. Six-legged stalking body, hollow underside and divided leading maw. Pursues through committed routes; forelimbs and underside expose positional counters.
Form C — Void Crown. Suspended three-lobed crown/arch, central maw, two side pincers and pointed lower body. Gathers the same authority into warned sectors and finite stasis anchors; the maw remains the exposed source.
Setting and palette: North: frozen ruined highland fortress/cathedral districts; broken snow-dusted streets, destroyed gates, torn banners and cold storm-night light. The whole colossal body exceeds ordinary buildings. Darkest and most sinister of the four: abyssal soot-black, blackened ash bone, midnight charcoal and restrained void-violet. Thin cold edges preserve modeled form; large pale bone surfaces are avoided.
GO-VEYR-VOR-01 Horizon of Stillness
Source: Stillness and oblivion · North: bounded avatar expression, not a player profession. Kind: active. Route: Magic · Water + separate Rimebound attempt. Footprint: Current A/B/C variant footprint; each is explicitly declared below.
Freeze eligible recipients in a revealed band through a separately resisted Rimebound attempt; direct Water damage remains legal when the lock is immune. Avatar control is temporary, not a permanent stop of the game clock.
Tell: The current form exposes the actual source and fixed warning described in its variant. Counter: Use the current form-specific source/positioning counter and the unchanged core status prevention, cure and recovery rules. Commitment/limit: Finite bands/sectors with safe gaps and exposed-source recovery; no global time pause.
Game-view effect brief: Thin navy frost planes, low ice motes and a sharp seam; show the same large actor above the band.
Form-specific delivery. Each version inherits this core action’s route, eligible conditions, recipient rules and limits. Only the listed source, footprint, preparation and counter change.
| Form / variant | Source and delivery | Tell and counter |
|---|---|---|
| A · Horizon of Stillness — Broken March | Planted feet and open palm — Fixed parallel frost bands across the approach, with gaps. | A palm lowers; frost seams reveal each band. Counter: Leave a band or interrupt the disclosed palm preparation; the Rimebound counter remains unchanged. |
| B · Horizon of Stillness — Arrested Hunt | Rooted forefeet — Sequential bands along a committed pursuit route; warning locks placement before movement. | Forefeet brace and the next route band freezes at its edges. Counter: Step into the route gaps and punish the planted forelimbs; no tracking lane follows a player after warning. |
| C · Horizon of Stillness — Crowned Horizon | Central maw and lower point — Broken ring sectors centered on a fixed announced ground location. | The lower point stills over the marked center; sector gaps remain clear. Counter: Move through the breaks or interrupt the exposed maw before release; no whole-arena time stop. |
GO-VEYR-VOR-02 The Sleep Without Dawn
Source: Stillness and oblivion · North: bounded avatar expression, not a player profession. Kind: active. Route: Magic · Shadow + separate Lull attempt. Footprint: Current A/B/C variant footprint; each is explicitly declared below.
A limited sleep-wave deals its declared direct component and attempts Lull. Narrative victims can welcome endless sleep; player sleep follows the ordinary damage-break/rouse/expiry contract.
Tell: The current form exposes the actual source and fixed warning described in its variant. Counter: Use the current form-specific source/positioning counter and the unchanged core status prevention, cure and recovery rules. Commitment/limit: One admission per recipient; immunity never becomes an unlisted stun.
Game-view effect brief: A narrow dark crescent from the actual maw, with sparse motes and intact silhouettes; no floating eye required.
Form-specific delivery. Each version inherits this core action’s route, eligible conditions, recipient rules and limits. Only the listed source, footprint, preparation and counter change.
| Form / variant | Source and delivery | Tell and counter |
|---|---|---|
| A · The Sleep Without Dawn — Hollow Lull | Opened head-maw — One forward sleep-wave fan. | The mouth darkens before a crescent warning opens. Counter: Clear the fan or interrupt the maw; Lull still breaks/rouses/expires under the base rules. |
| B · The Sleep Without Dawn — Hunting Lull | Divided leading jaw — One sideways fan from a visibly committed head turn. | Jaw halves pull apart and the side fan locks direction. Counter: Move around the opposite flank before release; immune sleep never becomes another hard lock. |
| C · The Sleep Without Dawn — Crowned Lull | Central maw — A finite announced sequence of separate fans; only the next sector can resolve. | Crown lobes tilt toward the upcoming fan in sequence. Counter: Use the unmarked sector and pressure the maw after the sequence; no all-directions simultaneous sleep field. |
GO-VEYR-VOR-03 Memories Falling Silent
Source: Stillness and oblivion · North: bounded avatar expression, not a player profession. Kind: active. Route: Magic · Spirit + separate Mindscorch. Footprint: Current A/B/C variant footprint; each is explicitly declared below.
An avatar pulse damages within one disclosed zone and separately attempts Mindscorch against actual SP-bearing recipients. Story memory erosion never deletes player skill ranks, names, inventory or quest history.
Tell: The current form exposes the actual source and fixed warning described in its variant. Counter: Use the current form-specific source/positioning counter and the unchanged core status prevention, cure and recovery rules. Commitment/limit: No repeated applications from cosmetic echoes; no SP pool means no Mindscorch payload.
Game-view effect brief: A few legible shard-like memory echoes drawn inward, without mimicking additional actors.
Form-specific delivery. Each version inherits this core action’s route, eligible conditions, recipient rules and limits. Only the listed source, footprint, preparation and counter change.
| Form / variant | Source and delivery | Tell and counter |
|---|---|---|
| A · Memories Falling Silent — Hollow Echo | Open chest cavity — One fixed selected ground zone draws finite echo shards inward. | Chest opens; the selected boundary appears before the shards. Counter: Leave the zone or interrupt the chest channel; only an actual SP-bearing recipient can receive Mindscorch. |
| B · Memories Falling Silent — Pursuit Echo | Hollow underside — One zone left at the end of a committed route; it does not chase recipients. | Underside leaks inward-pointing shards over the marked endpoint. Counter: Avoid the endpoint and attack from the side during source recovery; cosmetic shards are not extra hits. |
| C · Memories Falling Silent — Oblivion Echo | Central void-maw — One visibly bounded sector draws sparse echo shards into the core. | A clear boundary and inward-pointing fragments name the admitted zone. Counter: Leave or interrupt the central source; no name, learned rank, inventory or quest record is erased. |
GO-VEYR-VOR-04 The Last Unmoving Moment
Source: Stillness and oblivion · North: bounded avatar expression, not a player profession. Kind: active. Route: Magic · Water. Footprint: Current A/B/C variant footprint; each is explicitly declared below.
Place finite nonliving source-owned stasis anchors; each releases one fixed compact collapse field in announced order. No detached eye, literal player-input pause or whole-district unmarked strike is required.
Tell: The current form exposes the actual source and fixed warning described in its variant. Counter: Use the current form-specific source/positioning counter and the unchanged core status prevention, cure and recovery rules. Commitment/limit: Fixed placements, bounded anchor count and recovery; no adaptive whole-arena tracking.
Game-view effect brief: A finite thin stasis mark, short freeze ring and sharp compact collapse burst per announced field.
Form-specific delivery. Each version inherits this core action’s route, eligible conditions, recipient rules and limits. Only the listed source, footprint, preparation and counter change.
| Form / variant | Source and delivery | Tell and counter |
|---|---|---|
| A · The Last Unmoving Moment — Fallen Steps | Hand-issued nonliving stasis marks — Finite fixed ground anchors collapse in announced order. | A hand places visible dark needles before their local warnings close. Counter: Destroy a marked vulnerable anchor or leave its compact field; no detached eye is required. |
| B · The Last Unmoving Moment — Arrested Paths | Jaw-issued stasis marks — Finite anchors border a committed pursuit route, with navigable gaps. | Jaw points to each location before the route locks. Counter: Break a vulnerable mark or cross a gap; anchors cannot retarget through structures. |
| C · The Last Unmoving Moment — Crownfall | Crown-root stasis anchors — Finite compact collapse fields surround a fixed central region in staged order. | Rigid shard marks and non-color sequence cues precede collapse. Counter: Destroy an exposed anchor or follow open gaps, then punish maw recovery; visual size does not cover the whole district. |
GO-VEYR-VOR-05 A Tethered Avatar
Source: Progenitor essence and the Veyr. Kind: passive. Route: Encounter identity/body profile. Footprint: One registered breach occurrence.
The whole external predator remains beyond the Veyr. Its consumed Progenitor essence tethers its exclusion; the later Concordance binds its access more tightly while admitting the oracle’s Outer God to part of the boundary. Defeating this limited body neither kills the master nor unanchors the eight. Forms A/B/C are successive expressions of this same occurrence; changing body does not create a fresh master, HP reset, regrowth allowance or settlement opportunity.
Tell: Inspect distinguishes avatar, remote master, boundary and occurrence. Counter: Disperse the local body and recover evidence. No ordinary dispel ends the Veyr or the historical curse. Commitment/limit: One special settlement opportunity per occurrence; organs/adds/effect echoes supply no independent god or reward roll.
Ulgath — Hunger and flesh · South
One living southern hunger avatar changes from a segmented wyrm into a four-legged predator and then a rooted throat-column. All forms have an actual jaw, feeding tissue and finite organ regrowth; none is an undead Death skeleton.
Body and resistance: Proposed alien flesh avatar has susceptible living circulation and declared growth metabolism. Gash is eligible subject to stronger boss mitigation. Rotsick/Blackrot eligibility must name compatible toxin biology rather than assume human susceptibility or immunity; regeneration does not prove either. Other controls and organ interrupts are disclosed by phase.
Three encounter forms
Form A — Hollow Wyrm. Long open-S living segmented body with split intake jaws, ribbed throat and limited rooted grasping tissue. Teaches bite cones, visible feeding links and committed lash lanes.
Form B — Ravenous Stalker. Long low four-legged body with an extended intake mouth, exposed feeding cord and narrow hollow flank. Moves pressure through a fixed approach while exposing neck and flank counters.
Form C — Communion Throat. Upright rooted throat-column with split jaw arches, supporting limbs and visible growth folds. Concentrates appetite around fixed sectors, finite graft links and exposed channel tissue.
Setting and palette: South: shattered coastal harbor districts, flooded cracked quays, broken docks and storm water between ruined sea walls. Buildings and ship remains provide nonhuman colossal scale. Decayed wine, bruised maroon/plum tissue, soot-charcoal cartilage and sparse dirty bone. Muted wet surfaces distinguish living hunger from Vorthaal’s near-black void.
GO-VEYR-ULG-01 The Maw That Never Fills
Source: Hunger and flesh · South: bounded avatar expression, not a player profession. Kind: active. Route: Physical · Neutral. Footprint: Current A/B/C variant footprint; each is explicitly declared below.
Commit a colossal bite to one displayed cone. Swallowed living creatures are story horror; player recipients take admitted damage without inventory theft, account deletion or removal of controls.
Tell: The current form exposes the actual source and fixed warning described in its variant. Counter: Use the current form-specific source/positioning counter and the unchanged core status prevention, cure and recovery rules. Commitment/limit: Committed facing and jaw recovery; no instant swivel or silent execution.
Game-view effect brief: One distinct jaw clamp, dark saliva trails and a brief impact spray within the actual bite footprint.
Form-specific delivery. Each version inherits this core action’s route, eligible conditions, recipient rules and limits. Only the listed source, footprint, preparation and counter change.
| Form / variant | Source and delivery | Tell and counter |
|---|---|---|
| A · The Maw That Never Fills — Wyrm Bite | Split jaw and ribbed throat — One fixed close bite cone. | Jaw hinges spread before the cone resolves. Counter: Leave or guard the bite; punish the exposed hinge. |
| B · The Maw That Never Fills — Stalking Bite | Extended intake mouth — One bite at the end of a warned committed approach corridor. | Forefeet brace and the final bite cone is shown. Counter: Leave the approach or final cone; no instant swivel at the endpoint. |
| C · The Maw That Never Fills — Communion Bite | Rooted jaw arches — A finite sequence of clearly separate adjacent bite sectors. | One jaw arch opens toward each upcoming sector. Counter: Use the sector gaps and punish hinge recovery; each bite remains within declared reach. |
GO-VEYR-ULG-02 Mercy of the Hungry Flesh
Source: Hunger and flesh · South: bounded avatar expression, not a player profession. Kind: active. Route: Support · bounded regrowth. Footprint: Current A/B/C variant footprint; each is explicitly declared below.
Regrow a registered damaged organ or eligible add through a costly channel. Its compulsory regeneration is frightening but finite; no unlimited full-health reset or restoration of permanent NPC deaths.
Tell: The current form exposes the actual source and fixed warning described in its variant. Counter: Use the current form-specific source/positioning counter and the unchanged core status prevention, cure and recovery rules. Commitment/limit: Regrowth allowance, recipient cap and expiry are registered; revived components never create another special roll.
Game-view effect brief: A few anatomical pulses travel along one visible flesh cord; the chosen wound closes without spawning unlimited geometry.
Form-specific delivery. Each version inherits this core action’s route, eligible conditions, recipient rules and limits. Only the listed source, footprint, preparation and counter change.
| Form / variant | Source and delivery | Tell and counter |
|---|---|---|
| A · Mercy of the Hungry Flesh — Throat Regrowth | Exposed throat and one feeding cord — Channel bounded regrowth to one declared damaged component. | A visible cord names the actual recipient. Counter: Sever the cord or interrupt the throat; no fresh full-health avatar body. |
| B · Mercy of the Hungry Flesh — Flank Regrowth | Neck cord and exposed flank organ — Same limited regrowth after the body plants to channel. | Flank folds open and the feeding cord pulses. Counter: Pressure the exposed side or cord before completion; movement does not conceal the recipient. |
| C · Mercy of the Hungry Flesh — Communion Regrowth | One exposed growth fold and feeding membrane — Same finite recipient allowance through the rooted column. | The fold visibly opens; a membrane links one named component. Counter: Disrupt the fold or membrane; changing forms does not refresh the encounter regrowth allowance. |
GO-VEYR-ULG-03 Graft of the Ravenous
Source: Hunger and flesh · South: bounded avatar expression, not a player profession. Kind: active. Route: Support disruption · bounded shared-loss link. Footprint: Current A/B/C variant footprint; each is explicitly declared below.
A boss-only graft temporarily shares one eligible originating loss among specifically linked encounter bodies under the chapter11 Graft contract. It does not duplicate full loss, steal player ownership or force character merging.
Tell: The current form exposes the actual source and fixed warning described in its variant. Counter: Use the current form-specific source/positioning counter and the unchanged core status prevention, cure and recovery rules. Commitment/limit: Finite recipient cap/lifetime; no recursive sharing/reflection, linked rewards or permanent body changes.
Game-view effect brief: Sparse thick-enough-to-read flesh cords, a clear graft knot and a bounded pulse along each admitted link.
Form-specific delivery. Each version inherits this core action’s route, eligible conditions, recipient rules and limits. Only the listed source, footprint, preparation and counter change.
| Form / variant | Source and delivery | Tell and counter |
|---|---|---|
| A · Graft of the Ravenous — Wyrm Graft | Visible flesh knot beside the throat — Finite declared linked encounter bodies share eligible loss. | The knot and both ends of every admitted cord appear. Counter: Deny the link or break the exposed knot; each recipient mitigates its own portion. |
| B · Graft of the Ravenous — Hunting Graft | Exposed flank knot — Same capped sharing links placed after a committed hunt route. | Flank knot faces the actual recipients before admission. Counter: Break the knot or the explicitly breakable link; no link follows through solid cover. |
| C · Graft of the Ravenous — Communion Graft | Central growth knot — A visibly ordered arrangement of the same capped links. | Rooted knot reveals each actual recipient and cord. Counter: Disrupt the common knot or deny admission; no copied full loss, recursion or forced character merging. |
GO-VEYR-ULG-04 The Communion of Hunger
Source: Hunger and flesh · South: bounded avatar expression, not a player profession. Kind: active. Route: Physical · Neutral + separately authored Gash attempt. Footprint: Current A/B/C variant footprint; each is explicitly declared below.
Actual grasping tissue, forelimb hooks or supporting/jaw-rim hooks strike their declared close lanes with separately eligible Gash attempts. Direct hits and periodic bleeding remain distinct; no player identity or equipment merges.
Tell: The current form exposes the actual source and fixed warning described in its variant. Counter: Use the current form-specific source/positioning counter and the unchanged core status prevention, cure and recovery rules. Commitment/limit: Finite strikes and recovery, one application allowance per originating action; no endlessly multiplying tentacles.
Game-view effect brief: The current form’s actual appendages follow finite warned lanes with short impact trails; no invented tentacles or opaque smoke.
Form-specific delivery. Each version inherits this core action’s route, eligible conditions, recipient rules and limits. Only the listed source, footprint, preparation and counter change.
| Form / variant | Source and delivery | Tell and counter |
|---|---|---|
| A · The Communion of Hunger — Wyrm Lashes | Existing grasping tissue roots — Sequential warned physical lash lanes. | Each substantial appendage lifts in attack order. Counter: Leave the next lane or guard direct loss; the separate Gash attempt follows eligibility. |
| B · The Communion of Hunger — Stalking Rakes | Hooked forelimbs — Sequential fixed rake corridors after the predator braces. | A forefoot draws back and its actual reachable corridor is shown. Counter: Move to the opposite flank and use the same Gash prevention/cure rules; no extra tentacles appear. |
| C · The Communion of Hunger — Rooted Rending | Supporting limbs and jaw-rim hooks — Finite warned close sweep lanes around the planted column. | A real support or jaw hook loads before its lane resolves. Counter: Follow the open lanes and punish the committed joint; no map-wide sweep inferred from giant size. |
GO-VEYR-ULG-05 A Tethered Avatar
Ymbria — Dreams and revelation · East
One eastern revelation avatar changes from a supported petal-moth into a veiled lean figure and then a suspended sail/cocoon. Every form retains a located revelation aperture; dream echoes remain bounded presentation, not attacking body copies.
Body and resistance: Proposed nonmetabolic conceptual avatar lacks vulnerable circulation and toxin metabolism: Gash/Rotsick/Blackrot immune for those specific reasons. Hard-control, displacement, other periodic loss and interruptible organ/support susceptibility require a disclosed phase profile; theme alone grants no universal immunity.
Three encounter forms
Form A — Dream Moth. Broad petal-moth planes around a central aperture, carried by articulated supporting limbs. Teaches clear revelation facing, finite dream fields and truthful ground seams.
Form B — Veiled Revealer. Tall lean figure with a grown petal hood, mirror-like revelation chamber and long limbs. Uses committed directional revelation and localized dream placement; a lifted veil exposes the source.
Form C — World-Dream Cocoon. Suspended spindle between broad petal sails, central aperture and limited rooted grasping limbs. Arranges the same revelations into bounded ordered sectors and dream seams around the coherent floating actor.
Setting and palette: East: destroyed woodland sanctuaries and sunken observatory districts, snapped withered trees, broken lens/glass roofs, damp root-broken streets and shallow dark water. Deep eggplant/charcoal tissue, bruised violet and muted cold-rose fold interiors, sparse dirty pearly edges. Revelation highlights are small and controlled, never pastel flower prettiness.
GO-VEYR-YMB-01 The Revelation Beneath Sleep
Source: Dreams and revelation · East: bounded avatar expression, not a player profession. Kind: active. Route: Magic · Spirit + separately registered temporary exposure. Footprint: Current A/B/C variant footprint; each is explicitly declared below.
A successfully admitted warned aperture revelation adds displayed temporary exposure. Lesser upward exposure attempts Addled; greater adds Mindscorch once under chapter11. The ordinary direct Spirit component is separate. Story servants may surrender to obsession; player allegiance/skills remain truthful.
Tell: The current form exposes the actual source and fixed warning described in its variant. Counter: Use the current form-specific source/positioning counter and the unchanged core status prevention, cure and recovery rules. Commitment/limit: No exposure from journals, art or mere camera view; no permanent character loss or repeatedly rolling conditions on decorative pulses.
Game-view effect brief: One sharp throat-eye aperture, sparse rune shards and a cone of dark dream light; show legible structure.
Form-specific delivery. Each version inherits this core action’s route, eligible conditions, recipient rules and limits. Only the listed source, footprint, preparation and counter change.
| Form / variant | Source and delivery | Tell and counter |
|---|---|---|
| A · The Revelation Beneath Sleep — Moth Revelation | Central throat-eye aperture — One warned revelation cone. | Petal frames open before the cone and exposure cue. Counter: Break facing or interrupt the aperture; exposure and Addled/Mindscorch follow the existing contract. |
| B · The Revelation Beneath Sleep — Veiled Revelation | Mirror chamber under the grown hood — One committed directional cone after a visible veil lift. | Hood unfolds; the true chamber and cone direction are shown. Counter: Cross behind the fixed facing or interrupt the chamber; decorative reflection is not another source. |
| C · The Revelation Beneath Sleep — Cocoon Revelation | Spindle aperture — Finite separately warned revelation sectors, each with its own admission. | Sails tilt toward the next sector and the aperture opens. Counter: Move into the unmarked space or disrupt the aperture; camera view alone never adds exposure. |
GO-VEYR-YMB-02 Shared Dreamfall
Source: Dreams and revelation · East: bounded avatar expression, not a player profession. Kind: active. Route: Magic · Shadow + separate Lull attempt. Footprint: Current A/B/C variant footprint; each is explicitly declared below.
Place a finite series of dream fields with a declared Shadow pulse and Lull attempt. Unreal architecture is presentation; valid terrain and damage footprints remain readable.
Tell: The current form exposes the actual source and fixed warning described in its variant. Counter: Use the current form-specific source/positioning counter and the unchanged core status prevention, cure and recovery rules. Commitment/limit: Fields expire and never cover every safe route; no automatic retarget after warning.
Game-view effect brief: A few petal rings and translucent curved dream planes, leaving model and ground visible.
Form-specific delivery. Each version inherits this core action’s route, eligible conditions, recipient rules and limits. Only the listed source, footprint, preparation and counter change.
| Form / variant | Source and delivery | Tell and counter |
|---|---|---|
| A · Shared Dreamfall — Petal Dreamfall | Petal-root dream seams — Finite fixed blossom fields. | Petal rings reveal field locations and firing order. Counter: Clear a field or prevent/resist Lull; no field relocates after warning. |
| B · Shared Dreamfall — Veiled Dreamfall | Wrist/hood dream seams — Same finite fields placed along declared approach locations. | A lifted hand points to each actual marked field. Counter: Use the unmarked route; ally rouse/damage-break remain legal for Lull. |
| C · Shared Dreamfall — Cocoon Dreamfall | Sail-root dream seams — Same capped fields arranged around the floating body. | Separate rings show locations before sail pulses. Counter: Follow clear gaps; form changes do not refill the field allowance or cover every route. |
GO-VEYR-YMB-03 The Truth That Watches
Source: Dreams and revelation · East: bounded avatar expression, not a player profession. Kind: active. Route: Magic · Spirit. Footprint: Current A/B/C variant footprint; each is explicitly declared below.
A focused revelation becomes one direct beam along a fixed line. It does not copy player spells, rewrite learned nodes or expose hidden account information.
Tell: The current form exposes the actual source and fixed warning described in its variant. Counter: Use the current form-specific source/positioning counter and the unchanged core status prevention, cure and recovery rules. Commitment/limit: Fixed facing and beam recovery; cosmetic eyes are not independent damaging sources.
Game-view effect brief: A clean bounded beam from the actual throat-eye or mirror aperture; sparse angular fragments never become extra sources.
Form-specific delivery. Each version inherits this core action’s route, eligible conditions, recipient rules and limits. Only the listed source, footprint, preparation and counter change.
| Form / variant | Source and delivery | Tell and counter |
|---|---|---|
| A · The Truth That Watches — Aperture Truth | Central aperture — One fixed warned Spirit beam lane. | The aperture locks direction before the lane fires. Counter: Step aside or interrupt the exposed aperture, then punish beam recovery. |
| B · The Truth That Watches — Unveiled Truth | Mirror chamber — One fixed beam from the visibly opened hood. | The real chamber lights; decorative reflections stay harmless. Counter: Use the actual lane and source cue, not the reflection; no copied player spell is created. |
| C · The Truth That Watches — Cocoon Truth | Spindle aperture — One longer-looking but explicitly bounded warned lane. | Sails brace and the full valid beam extent is marked. Counter: Leave the marked line or interrupt the source; scale never permits shooting through solid cover. |
GO-VEYR-YMB-04 A Dream Wearing the World
Source: Dreams and revelation · East: bounded avatar expression, not a player profession. Kind: active. Route: Magic · Shadow. Footprint: Current A/B/C variant footprint; each is explicitly declared below.
Echo shapes change the apparent scene inside marked seams while direct impacts follow truthful ground warnings. They never falsify party membership, safe exits, essential targeting or encounter objectives.
Tell: The current form exposes the actual source and fixed warning described in its variant. Counter: Use the current form-specific source/positioning counter and the unchanged core status prevention, cure and recovery rules. Commitment/limit: Bounded nonattacking echoes; no clone loot, hidden collision walls or forced player actions.
Game-view effect brief: A small set of translucent architectural fragments and a short ground ripple; no additional player silhouettes.
Form-specific delivery. Each version inherits this core action’s route, eligible conditions, recipient rules and limits. Only the listed source, footprint, preparation and counter change.
| Form / variant | Source and delivery | Tell and counter |
|---|---|---|
| A · A Dream Wearing the World — Petal World | Central aperture and bounded dream anchors — Finite fixed staggered seams with nonattacking architectural echoes. | True ground boundaries and sequence cues precede each impact. Counter: Use real gaps or break a declared vulnerable anchor; echoes have no false collision or loot. |
| B · A Dream Wearing the World — Veiled World | Mirror chamber and fixed seam anchors — Same finite seams around a committed stance. | The lifted hood discloses each real seam despite reflected scenery. Counter: Follow truthful marks and disrupt the chamber; allegiance and safe exits remain accurate. |
| C · A Dream Wearing the World — Cocoon World | Sail-root dream anchors — A finite ordered seam arrangement, with clear traversable gaps. | Sparse translucent fragments stay off essential markers. Counter: Break an exposed anchor or navigate the announced sequence; no clone attacks or forced movement. |
GO-VEYR-YMB-05 A Tethered Avatar
Sethrane — Identity and dominion · West
One western dominion avatar changes from a sovereign ray/mask into a lean masked regent and then a suspended three-arch frame. Every form has a located voice-maw and limited grown name/mask surfaces; identity theft never controls player input or falsifies affiliation.
Body and resistance: Proposed nonmetabolic conceptual avatar lacks vulnerable circulation and toxin metabolism: Gash/Rotsick/Blackrot immune for those specific reasons. Hard-control, displacement, other periodic loss and interruptible organ/support susceptibility require a disclosed phase profile; theme alone grants no universal immunity.
Three encounter forms
Form A — Sovereign Ray. Broad suspended ray/mask, leading grown face plates, underside voice-maw and centered tail. Teaches the declared voice fan, located name source and capped geometric mask commands.
Form B — Borrowed Regent. Tall lean masked body with shoulder identity plates, elongated hands and legs. Concentrates binds and commands through clearly presented masks and committed facing.
Form C — Dominion Frame. Suspended monolithic mask/voice torso framed by three offset rigid arches and limited hooked side limbs. Arranges the same commands into finite ordered sectors without erasing names, party labels or control.
Setting and palette: West: shattered civic courts, burned archives and ruined fortress streets; broken carved gates, fallen blank name-plaques, ash and torn banners. Ordinary buildings remain small against the entire actor. Blackened porcelain, green-black plate faces, slate-green/ash seams and sparse tarnished silver/dirty-ivory chipped edges. Corrupted authority, never clean white or gold celestial order.
GO-VEYR-SET-01 The Voice Taken From You
Source: Identity and dominion · West: bounded avatar expression, not a player profession. Kind: active. Route: Magic · Shadow + separate Muted attempt. Footprint: Current A/B/C variant footprint; each is explicitly declared below.
Speak a stolen voice through a declared cone, dealing its admitted component and attempting Muted. The player retains their real name, guild and account rights; impersonation horror belongs to fiction, not essential UI deception.
Tell: The current form exposes the actual source and fixed warning described in its variant. Counter: Use the current form-specific source/positioning counter and the unchanged core status prevention, cure and recovery rules. Commitment/limit: No global silence chain or lock that bypasses shared status resistance/recovery.
Game-view effect brief: Few dark sound rings, short written-name fragments and a distinct maw opening; reduced effects still show the fan.
Form-specific delivery. Each version inherits this core action’s route, eligible conditions, recipient rules and limits. Only the listed source, footprint, preparation and counter change.
| Form / variant | Source and delivery | Tell and counter |
|---|---|---|
| A · The Voice Taken From You — Sovereign Voice | Underside voice-maw — One warned voice fan. | The real maw opens and its fan precedes sound. Counter: Leave the fan or disrupt the maw; Muted still follows resistance, prevention and listed cures. |
| B · The Voice Taken From You — Borrowed Voice | Head-mask voice fissure — One fixed directed fan after a visible head turn. | Mask fissure opens toward the marked direction. Counter: Cross behind the facing or use legal prevention; no fake party/member label guides targeting. |
| C · The Voice Taken From You — Dominion Voice | Central frame voice-maw — Finite individually announced voice sectors. | The maw and next arch-facing sector cue reveal the source. Counter: Use gaps or interrupt the source; no simultaneous global silence or hard-lock substitute. |
GO-VEYR-SET-02 The Name That Binds
Source: Identity and dominion · West: bounded avatar expression, not a player profession. Kind: active. Route: Magic · Spirit + separate Rootbound attempt. Footprint: Current A/B/C variant footprint; each is explicitly declared below.
An inscribed name-link attempts temporary Rootbound. It does not strip a player name, steal a profession or permanently bind will. Area widening needs its own declared footprint.
Tell: The current form exposes the actual source and fixed warning described in its variant. Counter: Use the current form-specific source/positioning counter and the unchanged core status prevention, cure and recovery rules. Commitment/limit: A rejected bind supplies no substitute hard lock, new target or identity penalty.
Game-view effect brief: One crisp inscription plate and a few taut name threads, readable even at the wider boss camera.
Form-specific delivery. Each version inherits this core action’s route, eligible conditions, recipient rules and limits. Only the listed source, footprint, preparation and counter change.
| Form / variant | Source and delivery | Tell and counter |
|---|---|---|
| A · The Name That Binds — Sovereign Name | One grown leading name-plate — One selected name-link with a visible source. | The actual plate faces the recipient before admission. Counter: Deny range/line of sight or break the exposed plate; Rootbound prevention/cure remain legal. |
| B · The Name That Binds — Borrowed Name | One shoulder identity plate — One selected link after a committed pointing gesture. | The shoulder plate and hand identify the true recipient. Counter: Break the marked source or deny admission; no newly stolen profession or name. |
| C · The Name That Binds — Dominion Name | Central grown name surface — One separately warned compact area with finite admitted links. | An area boundary and real source precede each bind attempt. Counter: Leave the area or destroy the exposed source; rejected binds do not retarget or become another lock. |
GO-VEYR-SET-03 Dominion of Borrowed Faces
Source: Identity and dominion · West: bounded avatar expression, not a player profession. Kind: active. Route: Support · bounded encounter commands. Footprint: Current A/B/C variant footprint; each is explicitly declared below.
Command a finite set of hostile mask constructs with visible independent tells. Story victims can be absorbed into a collective; playable characters never become uncontrollable minions.
Tell: The current form exposes the actual source and fixed warning described in its variant. Counter: Use the current form-specific source/positioning counter and the unchanged core status prevention, cure and recovery rules. Commitment/limit: Add cap/expiry, no copied signature rewards or recursive summons; masks remain cheaper discrete shapes.
Game-view effect brief: A few geometric masks and short voice filaments around one central colossal actor, not full humanoid crowds.
Form-specific delivery. Each version inherits this core action’s route, eligible conditions, recipient rules and limits. Only the listed source, footprint, preparation and counter change.
| Form / variant | Source and delivery | Tell and counter |
|---|---|---|
| A · Dominion of Borrowed Faces — Sovereign Masks | Underside maw and source-owned geometric masks — Command a finite set of mask constructs. | Short visible filaments identify the actual commanded constructs. Counter: Interrupt the maw, break an exposed filament or defeat a construct; no independent reward roll. |
| B · Dominion of Borrowed Faces — Borrowed Masks | Head fissure and shoulder plates — Same bounded mask command after the regent plants. | The real source connects to each commanded mask. Counter: Pressure the command source or legal constructs; no player becomes an uncontrolled minion. |
| C · Dominion of Borrowed Faces — Dominion Masks | Central frame maw — Same capped mask population in an announced ordered command pattern. | Each true construct gets its own visible preparation cue. Counter: Break a command link or punish source recovery; cap and lifetime do not refresh on transformation. |
GO-VEYR-SET-04 All Voices, One Sentence
Source: Identity and dominion · West: bounded avatar expression, not a player profession. Kind: active. Route: Magic · Shadow. Footprint: Current A/B/C variant footprint; each is explicitly declared below.
Gather stolen voices into an announced sequence of damaging sectors. Echoed loved ones are narrative presentation; truthful target/party labels and player-controlled movement remain.
Tell: The current form exposes the actual source and fixed warning described in its variant. Counter: Use the current form-specific source/positioning counter and the unchanged core status prevention, cure and recovery rules. Commitment/limit: Finite sequence/recovery; sound volume alone never determines damage or obscures essential warnings.
Game-view effect brief: Several large low-opacity sound crescents with sparse name-plate debris; the voice-maw remains clear.
Form-specific delivery. Each version inherits this core action’s route, eligible conditions, recipient rules and limits. Only the listed source, footprint, preparation and counter change.
| Form / variant | Source and delivery | Tell and counter |
|---|---|---|
| A · All Voices, One Sentence — Sovereign Chorus | Underside voice-maw — Finite fixed sweeping sound sectors. | Each sector receives a sequence cue before sound arrives. Counter: Move through the gaps and punish maw recovery after the final sector. |
| B · All Voices, One Sentence — Borrowed Chorus | Head fissure and limited shoulder voice plates — A committed directed sequence of the same warned sectors. | Head and plate orientation identify the next fixed sector. Counter: Use the unmarked flank or interrupt the exposed chorus source; cosmetics add no attacks. |
| C · All Voices, One Sentence — Dominion Chorus | Central voice-maw and arch-root voice channels — Finite converging sound sectors with visible safe breaks. | The real maw and non-color sector order precede each release. Counter: Navigate the truthful gaps or disrupt the declared chorus source; sound intensity does not set damage. |
GO-VEYR-SET-05 A Tethered Avatar
Final registration boundary
Every Fallen ordinary source ID resolves to its selected profession or learned ancestor. Stronger footprints and additional payloads are explicit encounter variants, never free player or card skills. The four Veyr avatar kits use separate GO-VEYR-* proposal IDs; their earlier Chaos/Death/Life/Order kits are historical, not parallel current authorities.
The Veyr was established at the Progenitor’s death. The empire’s later sacrifice seized avatars and tightened the exclusion of their remote masters; it did not create the original boundary or first banish their whole beings. The oracle’s unknown Outer God gained partial boundary control through that rite. Champions’ souls anchor the returning curse; local kills, cleanses and special drops do not release those anchors.
The four domains do not prescribe an automatic engine affinity or blanket immunity. Ulgath’s actual flesh can bleed, subject to stronger boss mitigation; toxin compatibility needs registered biology. Conceptual nonmetabolic avatars lack the specifically disclosed circulation/metabolism required by Gash/Rotsick/Blackrot. Other susceptibility, phase changes and exposed support interrupts must be stated. An immune boss body still offers its named source-object/positioning counter. Narrative time arrest, stolen memory and dominion never erase playable identity or required feedback.
Creature registration must supply final timing, ranges, caps, resources, phase order and inspected body properties. Summons, organs, revived adds and echoes retain one encounter occurrence; none grants another special settlement roll. None of these briefs establishes computed balance or implemented rendering.
Great Old One overview sheets use the three-phase board and one shared GAME VIEW divider. Later action companion studies show four phase-specific skills with named particle looks and actual source organs, keeping that phase's modeled actor consistent across demonstrations. Use gloomy ruined districts and structures for colossal scale, no human/player figures, and ClassicSky painted materials with Ragnarok-inspired 2.5D shading. Each effect must preserve its warning, counter and full readable extent. Artwork approval does not approve numerical camera values or runtime geometry.
Fallen art remains paired Ascendant/Fallen identities, separate destructive poses, all-view curse expression, natural adult proportions and coherent kit. This Great Old One update does not restart Fallen production.
Historical Great Old One ideas
The previous20 named moves and their full contracts remain in boss-skills.json under retained_extension_candidates, alongside the four superseded six-entry avatar kits. They are archival design options. Their former source/domain mappings do not authorize current effects or new actors. Graft’s shared-loss channel is explicitly reused by GO-VEYR-ULG-03; the old Cruel Mending conversion contract remains optional/historical until separately selected. The status chapter retains safe channel semantics without implying that a non-current move is active. No former move is silently discarded or blended into all four new avatars.
